At Hot Pluto, we know that it is not always easy to stop your busy schedule and go out and create your Video Ad. So as a quick alternative to gettting a pressence on Hot Pluto, we have created an Image Upload that runs as a slide show.

If you click the temporary box "IMAGE UPLOAD," there is a tutorial of screen shots that shows how easy it is to upload your images and create your video slide show. Once you have created a member account, the process literally takes miuntes to complete--and your good to go!

We still will always reccommend creating your Video Ad as showcasing your products using video is the best approach.

So in the meantime, you can at least get your profile completed and visibile in our directory.

As you can see we have recently deployed a new look and feel for the site. We believe this look is a little more current and more appropriately set up for advertisers and consumers. Of course we need to hear from you about all this. Afterall, our new look comes from comments and suggestions we heard from you earlier.

Hello all;

first day here at "hot pluto" I love the concept and am happy to be here in the begining.

I know my video is rough, but it is the start of a long term relationship and I need to learn more about "how this works".

One night in December of last year (2006) I was looking at URL's on GoDaddy. At the same time I had this idea in my head that someone needed to create a video advertising portal/business directory. It would be the video version of the Yellow Pages. With the popularity of You Tube and Google, why not combine the two ideas and make the worlds first Video Advertising Business Directory?

Hot Pluto was a name that just seemed to come to me. I saw it was available and grabbed it along with .net. People ask me the origin of the name and I don't really have a pat answer. It was a quirky name and it seemed to fit. You could say that Pluto is a good reference when you think your site is out-of-this-world and you could say, even though it's one of the coldest places known to man, that you want to think of it as warm and fuzzy...or a place you could see yourself doing business on...if that makes you feel better. Where did Yahoo or Google come from? What do they mean?

Anyway, I then had to put the group together. They had to first buy-in to the concept and then they had to fit into the company. So I first went to a successfull businessman in the Valencia area who was a good friend...someone I saw myself working with and then someone who knew something about producing video. I found (wihtout looking far) just the right gal...my sister-in-law. The three of us began to meet  weekly at Bob's Big Boy in Burbank. and the off we went! Six months of developing the idea and building our business plan. Next thing you know...I'm writing about it in this Blog on our site!
